When Must Prosrams Be In Com~liance - With the Recnrlations <br />

In Section 6654. (c) (4), of the <strong>Social</strong> <strong>Adult</strong> <strong>Day</strong> <strong>Care</strong> <strong>Regulations</strong>,<br />

it is provided that Area Agencies on Aging must apply these<br />

requirements to programs that are provided under contracts entered<br />

into or renewed on six months from March 2nd, 1994 the day when the<br />

<strong>Regulations</strong> became Law. There<strong>for</strong>e, all programs in which a new<br />

contract is written or a prior contract is renewed on or after<br />

September 2, 1994 must meet the requirements of the <strong>Regulations</strong>.<br />

Will SDAC Realation Traininu Be Provided <br />

SOFA is planning to conduct training on the <strong>Regulations</strong> at the June <br />

meeting of the New York State Association of Area Agencies on <br />

Aging. An announcement of the June meeting will be <strong>for</strong>thcoming. <br />

Monitoring of this program with the Area Agencies on Aging will be <br />

handled consistent with SOFA monitoring practices currently in <br />

place within the Division of Local Program Operations. Questions <br />

concerning this Program Instruction should be addressed to your <br />

Aging Services Representative.
