PADRÓN 1964 ANNIVERSARY SERIES NO. 4
Made by: Padrón Cigars, Nicaragua
Wrapper: Nicaragua
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua
Price: $20.00
Cigar Insider Rating: 90 points
Details: The Padróns are slow to add new sizes
and brands, and they stuck to form adding
only one cigar—the Padrón 1964 Anniversary
Series No. 4. It measures 6 1/2 inches by 60 ring,
though the box pressing makes the cigar seem
thinner. The name can be confusing. Most
smokers think small when they hear No. 4 (ie.
Montecristo No. 4). But this is named for the
December 4 birthday of Saint Barbara, or Santa
Barbara, a Catholic saint held dear by Cubans.
It’s out now, and rated 90 points in this issue.
What makes it special: The fattest cigar in the
Padrón Anniversary line.
