The award winning <strong>Helix</strong> <strong>Ensemble</strong><br />
is an experienced group of<br />
musicians based in the East<br />
Midlands who enjoy performing<br />
chamber or small orchestral music.<br />
The <strong>Helix</strong> <strong>Ensemble</strong> aims to introduce a variety of<br />
contemporary works by composers in the region<br />
performed alongside more familiar pieces, and has<br />
given the first performances of more than 20 new<br />
compositions since their foundation in 1992.<br />
The <strong>Helix</strong> <strong>Ensemble</strong> would like to thank Clare<br />
Bhabra (violin) for coaching the strings, and Beate<br />
Toyka, St Peter’s Church and Belper Arts Festival<br />
for inviting the <strong>Helix</strong> <strong>Ensemble</strong> to perform in the<br />
first Belper Music Festival.<br />
