Mentor: Florian Jentsch (Psychology)
This project introduces and discusses previous research done on
the positive and negative effects of differing sizes of field of view
Nursing Utilization of Sensory Stimuli on the Impact .
of Infant Cognition
Mentors: Mohtashem Samsam (Molecular Biology and
Microbiology), Nancy Ahern (Nursing)
The development of the infant’s brain can be easily influenced by the
outside environment within the first six months of life. To positively
utilize this period of time, sensory stimulation such as light, sound,
and touch can be applied to clinical nursing practice in order to
increase infant cognition.
Student Co-Authors: Joycelyn Reyes, Hilary Slover
Mentor: Kimberly Smith-Jentsch (Psychology)
