Proper tool Use and safety <strong>in</strong>structions:<br />
Always use <strong>the</strong> correct tool for <strong>the</strong> job!<br />
Tools can be made to chip if struck aga<strong>in</strong>st ano<strong>the</strong>r tool or hard<br />
object with possible eye or o<strong>the</strong>r bodily <strong>in</strong>jury. Always wear safety<br />
goggles when us<strong>in</strong>g strik<strong>in</strong>g or struck tools. Bystanders shall also<br />
wear safety goggles.<br />
Nail hammers are for driv<strong>in</strong>g and withdraw<strong>in</strong>g common and f<strong>in</strong>ish<strong>in</strong>g<br />
nails only.<br />
Axes and wood splitt<strong>in</strong>g tools are <strong>in</strong>tended for fell<strong>in</strong>g trees, trimm<strong>in</strong>g<br />
trees, splitt<strong>in</strong>g wood, notch<strong>in</strong>g timbers and driv<strong>in</strong>g wooden or plastic<br />
stakes.<br />
Drill<strong>in</strong>g hammers are <strong>in</strong>tended to be used for strik<strong>in</strong>g chisels,<br />
punches, star drills, spikes and hardened nails.<br />
The strik<strong>in</strong>g face of <strong>the</strong> ball peen hammer is used for strik<strong>in</strong>g<br />
punches and chisels. The ball peen end is used for rivet<strong>in</strong>g, shap<strong>in</strong>g<br />
and straighten<strong>in</strong>g unhardened metals.<br />
Drywall hammers are used for scor<strong>in</strong>g and <strong>in</strong>stall<strong>in</strong>g drywall.<br />
