General Information Directions Bowman Auction Market is located 1 mile south of Bowman, ND on Highway 85. Herd Health All Bulls have been vaccinated for IBR, P13, BVD, Pasturella, Haemophilus Somnus and Microplasmabovis. All cattle have been poured with an Ivomec product. All Bulls have been semen tested and screened for abnormalities by Don Kruger, DVM, of the Bowman Veterinary Clinic. The adjusted scrotal measurements were taken the end of February. All the Commercial Heifers were vaccinated with PREG GUARD 10 this spring or VISTA 5 VL5. Terms & Conditions All Registered Cattle sell under the terms and conditions of the American Angus Association, printed in the back of this catalog. Free Delivery All Bulls will be delivered FREE in North Dakota, Montana, South Dakota and Wyoming and to Canadian Ports of Entry. We will assist in finding delivery arrangements at cost for Registered Cattle going farther and commercial heifers as low as possible. Trucking Discount $50 per head rebate on any Bulls picked up by the new owners at Bowman Auction Market. Ultrasound All Bulls will be ultrasounded for carcass traits by Jason McLennon, Fargo, ND. Welcome Welcome to our 2012 production sale. What a change from last year, an open winter and the best cattle market ever. We have a great set of bulls this year from some of the best sires in the breed. The bulls are ratioed in three different contemporary groups for birth, wean, yearling and gain ratios - tattoos from 107 to 112 are off the two-year olds, tattoos from 1202 to 1591 were in the Chalky Buttes and tattoos from 1703 to 1831 are off the HT Ranch. Each group was under different conditions, including water, hail and grass. A large percentage of the bulls are calving ease and yet are above breed average for weaning and yearling growth. The bulls born after April 4th were not old enough when we took yearling weights and ultrasounded to adjust for age. Bill Pelton will video the bulls again, and you can see them at www.billpelton.com. Go to the sale calendar and click on April 7 to see the bull videos. If you can’t attend the sale, he will be on a conference line at the sale to bid for you. See page 5 to pre-register. We will have a large number of outstanding commercial heifers. They will be sorted right and will sell five head or more on a bid. We will show the weights on all of them as we sell them.
