Bacayan Multi-Purpose Cooperative, with a total membership of 1,649 and a total capitalization of Php 14,161,181, provides credit assistance and services. Market outlets for local farm products are the Carbon Market in Cebu City and the Public Market in Mandaue City. INFRASTRUCTURES AND UTILITIES Power All the energy requirements of the area is being supplied by the Visayas Electric Company (VECO). Communications Cellphones and landline phones are the most common means of receiving information in the barangay. Transportation The barangay is only 30-minute ride from Cebu City. Public utility vehicles and tricycles are the usual mode of public transportation. Water Residents depend mostly on water connection from private institutions as source of potable water. Land Classification The area is classified as alienable and disposable (A&D) outside the protected area. Land Suitability Based on the suitability analysis, the area is generally suitable for built-up.
