APPLICATIONS<br />
For use primarily in residential wiring, including branch circuits for outlets, switches,<br />
etc. May be installed in both exposed <strong>and</strong> concealed work in normally dry locations.<br />
May be installed in air voids of masonry block or tile walls where these walls are not<br />
subject to excessive moisture or dampness. May be installed in locations with<br />
temperatures up to 90°C, but with the ampacity limited to that of 60°C conductors.<br />
Added Circuit: For use primarily in residential wiring for branch circuits supplying<br />
outlets located in bedrooms <strong>and</strong> other areas.<br />
CONDUCTORS<br />
Solid conductors: Soft, uncoated copper per ASTM-B3<br />
Str<strong>and</strong>ed conductors: Uncoated copper per ASTM-B3 <strong>and</strong> ASTM B8<br />
CONDUCTOR INSULATION AND JACKET<br />
Color-coded PVC (polyvinyl chloride), rated 90°C dry with clear nylon (polyamide).<br />
Added Circuit: Color-coded PVC rated 90°C: black, white, red <strong>and</strong> white with red<br />
stripe. Insulated conductors also jacketed with clear nylon (polyamide).<br />
GROUNDING CONDUCTOR<br />
Soft, uncoated copper per ASTM-B3<br />
ASSEMBLY<br />
Two-conductor constructions have the insulated conductors laid parallel. Ground<br />
wire is wrapped with paper <strong>and</strong> laid parallel between the insulated conductors. The<br />
entire construction is wrapped with a paper separator before applying the jacket.<br />
Three-conductor constructions have the insulated conductors twisted together or laid<br />
parallel to each other. Ground wire is wrapped with paper <strong>and</strong> twisted together or laid<br />
parallel to the insulated conductor.<br />
JACKET<br />
30 mil-thick PVC (polyvinyl chloride) jacket applied over the complete assembly<br />
14-2, 14-2-2 & 14-3 w/ground: white<br />
12-2, 12-2-2 & 12-3 w/ground: yellow<br />
