Here is a breakdown <strong>of</strong> complete cast and crew member list for <strong>the</strong> original<br />

1968 film. For cross reference purposes we have listed <strong>the</strong>m first in order <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong>ir cast/crew role in <strong>the</strong> movie.<br />

The 2 nd chart will have all cast/crew sorted chronologically by year.<br />

On that chart you will see everyone’s birthdates in correct order. All dates up<br />

to 1967 are birthdates and all dates after 1967 are death dates.<br />

The 3 rd chart will have all cast/crew sorted by Day - this gives us an actual day<br />

to day calendar to celebrate birthdates.<br />

The oldest crew member on <strong>the</strong> POTA film was Leon Shamroy (director <strong>of</strong><br />

photography/cinematography) who was born in 1901 and was 66 when <strong>the</strong><br />

movie debuted.<br />

Emil Kosa Jr.(special photographic effects) was born in 1903 and was 64<br />

when <strong>the</strong> movie debuted.<br />

The youngest crew members were Lou Wagner (Lucius) age 19 and Linda<br />

Harrison (Nova) age 22.<br />

Emil Kosa Jr was <strong>the</strong> first crew member to die in November 1968 only 7<br />

months after <strong>the</strong> movie hit <strong>the</strong>atres.<br />

Leon Shamroy being <strong>the</strong> oldest cast member was predictably one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> first<br />

crew members to pass away at age 72 in 1974.<br />

Rod Serling died <strong>the</strong> next year at age 50 in 1975.<br />
