Welcome A message from the Managing Director elcome to your new job with Extend. No matter what job you are starting, your first few days are never very easy. There are lots of people to meet, and a lot of things to remember. This Onboarding handbook is designed to assist you settle into the organisation and give you some essential information to get you started in your new role. It can take anything up to three months to feel confident and comfortable in a new job and this onboarding process is just one step in your onboarding into our organisation. You will be inducted into your before or after school or vacation program by our Operations Management team and they will give you more detailed information about all of the requirements of your job, our processes and procedures and ‘how we do things’ at Extend. Starting a new job can raise many questions and no matter what your job there is a range of common questions that arise, some of which might include: • the job itself, and where you fit into the organisation • information about Extend, what it does, its goals and directions • the entitlements and services available to you • health & safety issues • opportunities for learning and development I encourage you to read and refer to this information, as it will help you settle in quickly and feel part of the organisation. Please approach a member of the Operations team for clarification of any points raised in the handbook. Congratulations on your appointment.
