Ratchets<br />
In order to offer outstanding choice and ensure that the correct tool is always available, <strong>Britool</strong> offers a var<strong>ie</strong>ty of ratchet styles and mechanisms:<br />
Lever Reversible Ratchet<br />
This extremely strong mechanism is available in 1/4", 3/8" and<br />
1/2" drive. The 72 tooth design offers a minimum working arc<br />
of 5°. The mechanism is extremely smooth, and gives an almost<br />
negligible reverse torque—removing the risk of accidentally<br />
undoing the fastener on the reverse stroke. The twin pawl<br />
mechanism of this ratchet uses a different pawl for each direction<br />
of travel. This means that each is ideally positioned to take the<br />
greatest possible load—making it almost impossible to overload<br />
this ratchet design in normal use. Thumb lever controlled<br />
reversible action.<br />
Clutch Ratchet<br />
A highly innovative, simple, robust design, this roller bearing<br />
mechanism is available in 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" square drive.<br />
The toothless nature of this ratchet gives a silent and smooth<br />
action with a minimum working arc of less than 1º—this is the<br />
ultimate ratchet for use where access is restricted. The design<br />
features a push through square drive to change direction.<br />
Swivel Head Ratchet<br />
This ratchet design is available in 1/4”, 3/8” and 1/2”<br />
square drive. It features a 72 tooth mechanism – offering a<br />
minimum working arc of 5º. Despite its compact size, the<br />
mechanism offers extremely good load characteristics – 17<br />
teeth are engaged during loading, giving 45% more strength<br />
than most conventional ratchets. The swivel head design<br />
offers unrivalled access.<br />
Flexi-Head Ratchet<br />
Available in 3/8” and 1/2”, this high strength design features<br />
the same mechanism as the lever reversible ratchet, coupled<br />
with a long handle and a flexible head – giving great access<br />
characteristics and allowing high torque loads.<br />
