has no crown on her head, but flowers in her hair, and she is barefooted; she is a child of
mother earth. She is clad in a yellow dress, and her hair is green as the young man`s left
leg and the veil she wears. The veil and her hair look as if they are one and the same
thing, because her strength, represented by her hair, is her "moonlight", her
seductiveness. Her green colours are reflecting the growth outwards to the world of the
senses, she promises.
In zenith, directly above the young man`s head, is a huge brilliant sphere, reflecting the
Primary Clear Light, the divine state of oneness, which, as mentioned before, is the
culmination of the path of inner tantra.
From this source radiates 12 alternating green and red rays. These "rays" represent the
twelve star signs of the zodiac AND the tree gunas, (principles of nature that in
accordance with Hindu scriptures uphold physical manifestation). This is much more
complex, the "guna-rays" of various lengths are reaching down into the physical world,
creating karma. Essentially, the gunas are the tools, the twelve zodiac star signs are the
filters, and finally, the star is the impulse.
In the brilliant light appears an angelic being with an arrow on his bow, ready to shoot as
soon as the young man has made his choice. The angel is naked because truth is always
naked, and the blue wings illustrate his mental clarity. The angel is "the Lord of Karma". A
measurer of what is right living in accordance with higher values will therefore come from
the same source.
The Lord of Karma measures the difference between what is the right way to live and that
which is actually being lived; but "the judgement" as such is often not being summarised
until after death. The angel`s bow is green because it brings the consequences of the
choice into motion, the yellow quiver represents the law of consequence.
In the language of modern physichs, this card, THE LOVERS, depicts the moment of the
collapse of the wave-function.
The card carries the number VI and the letter VAU.
