TECHNOLOGY DETAILS
LED technology
Even though the LED technology is already more than 50 years old,
the use in vehicle applications hasn’t been very common until lately.
Current generation LED lights provide outstanding light performance
and use minimal power. This makes LED lights a desirable accessory
for a variety of vehicle related commercial and private applications.
The technology is constantly progressing and gimmicks like flexible
OLEDs or bend driving lights will soon become publicly available to a
wide audience.
INSTALLATION & SAFETY
The temperature of light is measured in Kelvin. Our lights provide
a bright white 6500K beam, which can be a significant difference in
night time driving conditions as smaller details can be better seen.
The light output of LEDs is measured in Lumen. Raw Lumen refers
to the light output at the source. However, the more important
number for our customers is the effective Lumen, which refers to
the usable light, after heat loss or optical and electrical inefficiency
is taken into account. Watt on the other hand measures the power
needed to produce a certain amount of light. We take pride in the
fact that our light products are among the most efficient lights in the
North-American market.
Beam patterns
Many of our LED lights are available in spot or flood configuration.
The spot option provides a narrow, very far reaching beam pattern,
whereas the flood option generates a low, wide beam pattern
to cover more area from side to side. Both are great options for
their specific purpose. The larger light bars offer a flood and spot
combination and provide a very evenly distributed light pattern,
which makes it very versatile.
