I am pleased to present the 2011 Delaware Farm Market and
Agritourism Directory that can guide you to destinations across the
state for buying First Rate from the First State Delaware fruits,
vegetables, and other agricultural products as well as destinations for
family entertainment, adventures, and educational opportunities.
If you are looking for the first asparagus of the season or want to
pick pumpkins in the fall, this directory will show you the way.
If you and/or your family want to tour a farm, have a hayride,
bottle feed calves, have a pony ride and participate in many other
exciting activities check the Agritourism listings for each county.
Supporting our local farmers helps our agricultural industry which
contributes more than $8 billion to Delaware’s economy. Agriculture
not only contributes to our financial well being, it also positively
affects our quality of life. More than 40 percent of Delaware’s land is
agricultural land that provides beautiful views and open space that we
treasure so dearly as well as vital wildlife habitat.
My job as Secretary of Agriculture is to help ensure the profitability of
Delaware agriculture so we all can continue to reap the rewards. I
