as half (½) game won and half (½) game lost for each team and the game shall not be<br />
replayed. If the game is called before the completion of the number of innings and<br />
conditions as specified in 4-2-3, the umpire shall declare the contest "no game." The<br />
game shall be replayed from the start when and where determined by the two schools<br />
involved.<br />
D. SUSPENDED GAMES IN PLAYOFFS. In playoff games past the district level, any<br />
suspended game shall be continued from the point of suspension at a later time as<br />
outlined in Rule 4-3-1.<br />
E. PRACTICE BALLS. Each team is responsible for its own practice balls for warm-ups in<br />
batting and infield practice.<br />
F. COACHING BOXES. Student players and coaches in uniform or coaching attire<br />
representing school colors or mascot, may occupy the coaching boxes.<br />
G. PITCHING REGULATION. The pitcher shall take a position with both feet firmly on<br />
the ground and with one or both feet in contact with, but not off the side of the pitchers<br />
plate.<br />
H. PREGAME WARMUP. It is recommended that batting practice be eliminated and that<br />
each team be given 10 minutes for infield and outfield workouts prior to each game.<br />
I. HEAD PROTECTORS. All players must wear head protectors when batting and when<br />
on the base paths.<br />
J. COURTESY RUNNER REGULATIONS. National Federation Courtesy Runner<br />
regulations.<br />
1. The team at bat may use courtesy runners for the pitcher and/or the catcher<br />
as soon as they reach base. The same runner may not be used for both<br />
positions. Neither the pitcher nor the catcher will be required to leave the<br />
game under such circumstances.<br />
2. Players who have participated in the game in any other capacity are<br />
ineligible to serve as courtesy runners.<br />
3. A player may not run as a courtesy runner for the pitcher or the catcher<br />
and then be used as a substitute for another player in that half inning.<br />
Note: An unreported courtesy runner is an illegal substitute. Penalty: For<br />
illegal substitution, such substitute shall be ejected.<br />
K. COACH EJECTION PENALTY<br />

2. ATHLETIC CODE FOR COACHES. Informing his or her immediate supervisor<br />
the next school day after a contest if he or she was ejected from that contest for<br />
unsportsmanlike actions knowing that such conduct requires automatic penalty.<br />
