received a 1958 M.S. degree from American University.<br />

• Employed: From 1951 to 1959 he was information director <strong>of</strong> the National 4-H Foundation in<br />

Washington. From 1959 to 1967 he served as PR director for the Central Soya Co <strong>of</strong> Ft.<br />

Wayne, IN.<br />

• He worked as a minority staff director for the US House <strong>of</strong> Representatives Committee on<br />

Foeign Affairs from 1967 to 1986. From Nov. 1986 to Nov 1989 he served as US<br />

Ambassador to Papua New Guinea.<br />

Everett married Joyce Elizabeth LEAR [673] [MRIN: 249], daughter <strong>of</strong> William Earl LEAR<br />

[1077] and Mildred Joyce Eleanor GUNDERSON [1094], on 25 Mar 1950 in Dumbarton<br />

Methodist Church, Washington, DC. Joyce was born on 25 Jun 1929 in Washington, DC. They<br />

had four children: James Everett, Karen Joyce, Robert Eugene, and Marta Elizabeth.<br />

James Everett BIERMAN [928] was born on 18 Feb 1955 in Frostburg, MD.<br />
