EXAMS (320 Points)
There will be two midterm exams and a final exam. The final exam will deal primarily with
topics covered since the second midterm exam but familiarity with earlier topics may be
needed.
Make-up exams will be given at the instructor’s discretion based on valid, documented
excuses, and must be arranged at least 48 hours in advance whenever possible.
QUIZZES (50 Points)
Announced and unannounced. You must be inside the classroom at the start of the quiz to
be eligible to take the quiz.
HOMEWORK (50 Points)
No late homework will be accepted. Includes group based and Excel based.
COURSE DROP POLICY
Information on the last day to drop this course is provided in the university calendar. After
this deadline, students will be dropped from a course with a grade of "F". A grade of "W"
can be assigned after the deadline only under exceptional circumstances, and only with the
approval of the instructor and the academic dean. In such a case, the student must petition
for the "W" in writing and provide the necessary supporting documentation.
ACADEMIC INTEGRITY
In the classroom and in all other academic activities, students are expected to uphold the
highest standards of academic integrity. Any student who commits an act of scholastic
dishonesty (copying, plagiarism, collusion, taking an examination for another person, or any
such act intended to provide unfair advantage to a student or group of students) is subject
to disciplinary action. Evidence of academic dishonesty may be forwarded to the Dean of
Students and may result in sanctions, including possible suspension or dismissal from the
University.
can be repeated and the cost of repeating courses. Typically the maximum number of times
a course can be repeated is 3 (with exceptions) and the third time may require additional
fees.
DISRUPTIONS
You are expected to be inside the classroom by the start of class and to stay in class for its
duration. Please minimize class disruptions by completing bathroom visits before class time.
