The <strong>Campus</strong> Sex <strong>Crime</strong>s Prevention Act<br />
The <strong>Campus</strong> Sex <strong>Crime</strong>s Prevention Act (section<br />
1601 of Public Law 106-386) is a federal law inacted<br />
Oct. 28, 2000, that provides for the tracking of convicted<br />
sex offenders enrolled or employed by institutions of<br />
higher education.<br />
In compliance with CSCPA, the <strong>Northwest</strong> <strong>Mississippi</strong><br />
<strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> community may find the required<br />
information at the <strong>Mississippi</strong> Department of Public<br />
Safety web site at www.dps.state.ms.us (sex offender<br />
registry).<br />
