Kent Seinfeld <strong>is</strong> a consultant in <strong>the</strong> Banking IT arena in <strong>the</strong> US and <strong>the</strong> UK. He <strong>is</strong> currently working<br />
on a bank startup as well as establ<strong>is</strong>hing a new IT infrastructure for an ex<strong>is</strong>ting bank that <strong>is</strong> being<br />
spun-off.<br />
Kent was <strong>the</strong> CIO of Commerce Bank. As <strong>the</strong> CIO, Kent led <strong>the</strong> development and management of<br />
systems and operations <strong>to</strong> support <strong>the</strong> very rapid growth of Commerce from $8B <strong>to</strong> $50B in deposits<br />
over a seven year period. Kent was a consultant <strong>special</strong>izing in enterpr<strong>is</strong>e architecture prior <strong>to</strong><br />
joining Commerce. As a consultant, he led efforts <strong>to</strong> establ<strong>is</strong>h enterpr<strong>is</strong>e architectures and planning<br />
processes at a pharmaceutical firm, an insurance company, a Russian bank, and a Canadian cable and<br />
telecommunications company.<br />
Prior <strong>to</strong> that, Kent was a senior vice president and served in three different positions with CoreStates<br />
(Wells Fargo/Wachovia/First Union) Bank. He was <strong>the</strong> CIO of First Pennsylvania Bank prior <strong>to</strong> its<br />
acqu<strong>is</strong>ition by CoreStates. After <strong>the</strong> merger, Kent became <strong>the</strong> manager of systems development for<br />
<strong>the</strong> MAC ATM and POS network. Subsequent <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> spin-off of MAC, Kent founded and managed<br />
<strong>the</strong> Strategic Technology Planning group. Th<strong>is</strong> group was responsible for <strong>the</strong> development of <strong>the</strong><br />
bank wide client/server systems architecture, standards, development methodologies and a workflow<br />
and document imaging infrastructure.<br />
Kent was <strong>the</strong> founder and manager of <strong>the</strong> Technology Planning and Research group at CIGNA,<br />
where he was responsible for standards, security policy, development methodologies, and R&D.<br />
Kent has also served as <strong>the</strong> CIO for Girard Bank (now Mellon Bank/Philadelphia). Earlier in h<strong>is</strong><br />
tenure, he was <strong>the</strong> principal architect in <strong>the</strong> design and implementation of a large-scale, highly<br />
integrated, cus<strong>to</strong>mer oriented core banking system. Th<strong>is</strong> system evolved in<strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> foundation of <strong>the</strong><br />
George Network, one of <strong>the</strong> first large ATM and Bank-by-Phone networks. Kent has a bachelors<br />
degree in ma<strong>the</strong>matics from NYU and a masters degree in computer science from <strong>the</strong> University of<br />
Pennsylvania.<br />

Currently responsible for <strong>the</strong> development and implementation of global technologies which serve as<br />
<strong>the</strong> enabler <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> Deloitte workforce recruitment and retention strategies. Served in a prior role at<br />
Deloitte as a Systems Development Leader, responsible for <strong>the</strong> development of <strong>the</strong> global auditing<br />
applications which deliver methodology and industry research material <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> auditing staff in over 80<br />
countries. Duties include <strong>the</strong> management and technical oversight of Systems Engineering,<br />
Architecture, Database, Testing and Technical Support groups. Over all objectives are <strong>to</strong> insure <strong>the</strong><br />
successful development, deployment and on going support of <strong>the</strong> global technology solutions <strong>to</strong><br />
insure Deloitte maintains its position as an industry leader.<br />
Prior <strong>to</strong> joining Deloitte, Steve managed <strong>the</strong> global Internet/intranet web development group for <strong>the</strong><br />
Benefit Admin<strong>is</strong>tration Services div<strong>is</strong>ion of Towers Perrin. H<strong>is</strong> role was focused on building an<br />
enterpr<strong>is</strong>e technology group, responsible for business analysts, application development, platform<br />
architecture, graphic design and network admin<strong>is</strong>tration <strong>to</strong> support <strong>the</strong> global E-business web<br />
products and services of <strong>the</strong> organization.
