Cl<strong>in</strong>ically compatible illness <strong>in</strong> patient with:<br />
(1) S. pneumoniae isolated from blood; OR<br />
(2) Positive blood culture that failed to grow pathogen on<br />
subculture AND had media positive by B<strong>in</strong>ax rapid test
