I hope this newsletter finds you all enjoying<br />
<strong>Spring</strong>, staying healthy, and<br />
thinking about fundraising for CRN.<br />
First, I must thank all of you who have<br />
raised money or contributed to an event<br />
for our organization. We directly depend<br />
on your generous donations and time to<br />
keep our researchers and doctors working<br />
hard and our cystinosis families as<br />
healthy as possible. Huge thanks to all<br />
of you.<br />
We have had seven successful fund<br />
raisers so far this year and if you look<br />
on the calendar, we have more to look<br />
forward to. However, we still need your<br />
help to fulfill our commitments. As the<br />
development coordinator, I am here to<br />
cheer you on and encourage you all to<br />
try raising money.<br />
Not all fundraisers have to be time consuming.<br />
Below are some great ideas:<br />
• Personal donation<br />
• Letter campaign (just ask)<br />
• Garage sales and lemonade<br />
stands<br />
• Girls/guys/couples night out<br />
(book club, card group, poker<br />
night, just a get together)<br />
• <strong>Spring</strong> fling<br />
• Home shows (jewelry, candles,<br />
cookware, home decor)<br />
• Shop at www.cafepress.com/<br />

• Company matching gift programs<br />
• United Way, GoodSearch,<br />
Ebay<br />
• Block party or backyard<br />
barbecue<br />
• Refer to our fundraising calendar<br />
for more ideas such as Biking,<br />
Golfing, Carnivals, Hoedowns,<br />
Birthday Parties, etc...<br />
I also found that if you just Google an<br />
idea on the computer, loads of organized<br />
step by step "how to run your<br />
fund raiser" are right at your fingertips.<br />
Google "a-thon fundraisers" and<br />
a whole new world opens up. It is actually<br />
fun and inspirational to see how<br />
much can be achieved if we all pitch<br />
in and go for it. Any amount of money<br />
raised is wonderful. It all adds up.<br />
