bank Sohar Launches India remittance<br />
Service<br />
Bank Sohar announced the launch of their India Remittance Service 'EKDOTEEN' at<br />
a press conference held at the Bank’s Learning Center at the Qurum Branch. Khalfan<br />
Rashid Al Tal’ey, DGM Retail Banking – Bank Sohar and several Senior Managers of the<br />
Bank were also present at the launch. The NRI Remittance Service has been developed<br />
for Bank Sohar’s non-resident Indian expatriate customers. Sabuj Kundu, Head of Non-<br />
Resident Banking gave a presentation about the new service. The presentation was<br />
followed by a live, real time remittance to India using the new facilities.<br />
With the launch of the India Remittance Service, Bank Sohar introduces a safe, fast<br />
and reliable money transfer process for their NRI customers to send money from Oman to beneficiaries in India. Customers that have savings or current accounts<br />
with the Bank can avail of the new service. Customers may access the remittance service through Bank Sohar’s internationally benchmarked Al Mumayaz Retail<br />
Internet Banking and also through any of the 21 branches of the Bank. Instant transfers, <strong>com</strong>petitive exchange rates and low transaction fees are some of the<br />
many attractive features of the new service.<br />
Bank Sohar’s India Remittance Service is offered in partnership with Axis Bank Ltd., India. Credit to a beneficiary’s Axis Bank account will be <strong>com</strong>pleted in<br />
seconds, and the credit to a beneficiary’s accounts with other banks will be within 24 hours depending on the NEFT business hours in India. Al Tal’ey invited NRI<br />
customers to avail of the <strong>com</strong>fort and convenience of the remittance facility and to experience the difference.<br />

opening of a fourth Second Cup branch and the introduction<br />
of fourteen fully-automated vending coffee machines at<br />
Omantel’s new Headquarters in Mawaleh.<br />
Executed by a top Australian manufacturer, the kiosk-style<br />
outlet incorporates new eco-friendly operating technology<br />
developed by Second Cup International to support and<br />
expedite its vast and responsible international growth strategy.<br />
The latest technology includes enhanced flow methods,<br />
maximised storage facilities, built-in plumping and modern<br />
rinse techniques that automatically washes coffee blenders and substantially reduces water consumption levels.<br />
To mark the opening, Hani bin Ali Mirza, Partner and Managing Director of Bin Mirza International stated, “The opening of our fourth branch at Omantel’s new<br />

The fourteen vending coffee machines at Omantel’s Headquarters are conveniently located throughout the cafeterias of the tele<strong>com</strong> giant’s offices. The machines<br />
utilize fresh coffee beans and Second Cup propriety ingredients, and offer a select range of signature drinks including Espresso, Café Latte, Cappuccino, Hot<br />
Chocolate, Moccaccino and teas. Second Cup has also introduced a food menu that has been developed exclusively for Omantel to cater to lunch and other special<br />
