<strong>Summit</strong> Program Details<br />

An important feature of the <strong>Summit</strong> <strong>2013</strong> would be presentation<br />

of education awards to institutions, educationists, and faculty in<br />

recognition of their contributions and excellence in any of the<br />

various academic fields.<br />

ACADEMIC COLLABORATIONS – SESSIONS<br />

<strong>Summit</strong> will have sessions on collaborative research programs,<br />

joint / dual degree programs, twinning & transfer programs,<br />

distance education & vocational education programs, faculty &<br />

student exchange programs, study abroad in India programs,<br />

and other academic partnerships.<br />

<strong>The</strong> sessions will cover the fields of Engineering & Applied<br />

Sciences, Information Technology, Business & Management,<br />

Clinical & Health Sciences, Life Sciences & Biomedicine,<br />

Agricultural Sciences & Environment, <strong>Education</strong> & Technology,<br />

Arts & Humanities, and Social Sciences.<br />

<strong>The</strong> sessions involve panel discussions by selected foreign<br />

universities and Indian institutions. Sponsors will make brief<br />

presentations at the end of panel discussions. <strong>The</strong>re will be<br />

open-house discussions at the end of the sessions.<br />

<strong>The</strong> academic collaboration sessions of the <strong>Summit</strong> are meant<br />

for representatives of foreign universities, foreign educational<br />

organizations, foreign diplomatic officials, Indian institutions,<br />

Indian corporations and organizations. Students will not be<br />

present at these sessions.<br />

ACADEMIC COLLABORATIONS: ONE-ON-ONE MEETINGS<br />

During the <strong>Summit</strong>, one-on-one meetings between<br />

representatives of foreign universities and those of Indian<br />

institutions, Indian corporations and organizations will take place.<br />

Each representative of foreign universities will be given a table for<br />

interacting with Indian and other participants of the <strong>Summit</strong>.<br />

RECRUITMENT OF STUDENTS<br />

Foreign universities will have the opportunity to take part in the<br />

recruitment of Indian students. Indian students interested in<br />

studying abroad will participate in the one-on-one meetings with<br />

representatives of foreign universities. Indian students will have<br />

the benefit of referring to the profiles of participating foreign<br />

universities on the website of the <strong>Indus</strong> <strong>Foundation</strong> at http://<br />

www.indus.org/. Entry is free for Indian students. Each<br />

representative of foreign universities will be given a table for<br />

interacting with Indian students.<br />

<strong>Indo</strong>-<strong>Global</strong> <strong>Education</strong> <strong>Summit</strong> <strong>2013</strong> will be held in each of the<br />

following cities on the dates mentioned against them.<br />

New Delhi: India Habitat Centre (Silver Oak Hall) - November 9, <strong>2013</strong><br />

Hyderabad: Marigold by Greenpark (Peacock Hall) - November 11, <strong>2013</strong><br />

Chennai: Vivanta by Taj Connemara (Ballroom) - November 13, <strong>2013</strong><br />

Bangalore: Le Meredien Bangalore (Coronet Hall) - November 15, <strong>2013</strong><br />

Pune: Le Meredien Pune (Majestic Hall) - November 18, <strong>2013</strong><br />

Mumbai: World Trade Centre (Centrum Hall) - November 20, <strong>2013</strong><br />

<strong>The</strong> detailed program in each of the above cities will be as follows:<br />

7.30 am onwards: Registration of Delegates at <strong>Summit</strong> Venue<br />

IMPORTANT NOTE<br />

* Each session on Academic Collaborations will have panel<br />

discussion by representatives of foreign universities and Indian<br />

institutions (40 min.). <strong>The</strong>re will be presentations by Sponsors<br />

(10 min.) followed by Open House (10 min.).<br />
