The sound signals’ first steps are insecure. The playback devices only transmit weak impulses to
the amplifier. This makes them all the more vulnerable to interference of every sort. This is why a
number of new protective measures have been integrated into the in-akustik Reference audio
cables: solid copper (OF-CU), optimal insulation material (Duo-PE II), PE tubes filled with air, the
innovative GAP plug (see p. 30) and a precise configuration of all elements. But the signal conductors
take centre stage: the conductors are solid and very thin for uniform transit times. The
cables are securely packed on the outside: with PE network jacket against micro-vibrations.
So that small tones don’t trip up right at the start.
