<strong>Index</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> Messier Objects<br />

In <strong>the</strong> following table, <strong>the</strong> column "Maps" shows every map number (and Left or Right page) on which <strong>the</strong><br />

Messier object is plotted. This table is sorted in Messier Number order as compared <strong>to</strong> Messier Marathon order<br />

on pages 25 and 29 <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Atlas.<br />

This table also contains 110 ra<strong>the</strong>r than 109 objects in order <strong>to</strong> include NGC205 which The Royal<br />

Astronomical Society <strong>of</strong> Canada recognizes as Messier object number 110. M40/Win4 has not been named<br />

on <strong>the</strong> Atlas Maps - use its RA and Dec coordinates <strong>to</strong> locate it. Also, <strong>the</strong> maps refer <strong>to</strong> M45 as Pleiades and<br />

M102 as NGC5866.<br />
