GLORIA AMMERLAAN<br />

A Member of the Australian Institute of Business Brokers since 2002, Gloria<br />

Ammerlaan has been actively involved in both the National and State Executives.<br />

A dedicated member of the National Executive Committee, Gloria has been the<br />

National Membership Chairperson since 2008.<br />

When the State Chapters were first formed in 2009, Gloria was appointed<br />

Vice-President of Victoria and held that position until 23rd September, 2014 when<br />

she became the AIBB’s first female State President. Gloria was also the first female<br />

qualified Registered Business Valuer of the AIBB, having graduated from the inaugural<br />

Class of 2009.<br />

Principal of Connect Business Brokers, situated in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne,<br />

Gloria is also actively involved with the REIV – Business Broker Chapter<br />

and local business networking groups. Gloria is a Fellow of the AIBB and was a<br />

finalist in the AIBB – Senior Business Broker of the Year Award in 2011 and in 2013.<br />

Vic Whiteley is a Licensed Business Broker (LBB) with extensive experience in senior management roles in<br />

various industries, including Information Technology and Telecommunications. He has held CEO and Sales &<br />

Marketing management positions across a span of multinational companies, both in Australia, Asia/Pacific,<br />

Europe and the USA, as well as establishing his own locally-operated businesses in business broking, management<br />

consulting and training and is currently a Mergers & Acquisitions Specialist with LINK Corporate<br />

Vic also has experience working in the management advisory area, being involved in mergers, acquisitions,<br />

divestments and capital raisings with clients ranging from privately-owned Australian top-performers to ASX<br />

listed companies and major global organisations<br />

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree, majoring in Accounting, from the University of New South<br />

Wales and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (FAIM).<br />

On Wednesday 10th September, Vice<br />

President Paul Nielsen signed an historic<br />

Sponsorship agreement between the<br />

AIBB and the Commonwealth Bank of<br />

Australia at a special signing ceremony<br />

hosted by Adam Bennett, Executive<br />

General Manager, CBA and Senior Executives<br />

of the bank at CBA headquarters<br />

in Sydney.<br />

This Agreement provides an up front<br />

payment by CBA as Major Sponsor of<br />

the Institute and ongoing royalties to<br />

the Institute as well as up to $25,000 per<br />

deal Commission for Accredited AIBB<br />

Business Brokers who refer Lenders to<br />

the CBA resulting in a successful loan<br />

application.<br />

This arrangement is exclusively for AIBB<br />

members, both Full and Associate Members<br />

under the CBA’s Alliance Partnership<br />

program.<br />

The referral arrangement also provides<br />

for commissions to be paid to AIBB<br />

Members on a wide range of Banking<br />

products that could be offered to<br />

referees.<br />

These include:<br />

Commercial Loans: Business Line of<br />

Credit; Commercial Bills; Better Business<br />

Loans; Business Overdrafts and Market<br />

Rate Loans.<br />

Equipment and Motor Vehicle Loans<br />

Home & Investment Loans<br />

Transaction Products – Corporate<br />

Charge/Credit Cards; Business Transaction<br />

Account; Premium Business<br />

Account and many more……..<br />

AIBB Members will not need to become<br />

‘finance guru’s’ to tap into this potentially<br />

lucrative income stream as minimal<br />

training is required – the ‘heavy lifting’<br />

involved will be done by a dedicated<br />

CBA executive who will be available to<br />

Accredited AIBB Member participants<br />

by phone and Email as required and will<br />

liaise directly with the referred party.<br />
