It’s the richest road race in Zimbabwe, with a 1st Prize of US$4000.
The full marathon is open to male and female runners aged 18-39 years.
Course
Zimbabwe’s stunningly beautiful Eastern Highlands area is the race
venue. From its starting point in the Mutare city centre, the main
course is 42 kilometres (26 miles) long, as measured and certified by
AIMS/IAAF.
At about 1300m above sea level, the Christmas Pass is quite
magnificent but challenging. The first male and female runners to
reach the summit (31kms into the race) are crowned King and Queen
of Christmas Pass. On descent, the runners race to the finish line at
the Africa University campus in the Nyagambu River valley.
Set your marathon record in the “Run for Peace”.
