cell_extent_of_longitude: This 12-bit field, coded as an un<strong>si</strong>gned binary number, shall<br />

<strong>spec</strong>ify the extent of longitude of a spherical rectangle that approximately describes the<br />

coverage area of the cell indicated. It shall be calculated by multiplying the value of the<br />

extent_of_longitude field by (180º/2 15 ).<br />

subcell_info_loop_length: This 8-bit field gives the total length in bytes of the following<br />

loop that describes the subcells.<br />

cell_id_exten<strong>si</strong>on: This 8-bit field is used to identify a subcell within a cell.<br />

subcell_latitude: This 16-bit field, coded as a two's complement number, shall <strong>spec</strong>ify the<br />

latitude of the corner of a spherical rectangle that approximately describes the coverage area<br />

of the subcell indicated. It shall be calculated by multiplying the value of the latitude field by<br />

(90º/2 15 ). Southern latitudes shall be con<strong>si</strong>dered negative and northern latitudes po<strong>si</strong>tive.<br />
