2010 <strong>Michigan</strong> <strong>Sugar</strong> Queen<br />
… and the Sweetest Girl in the World is … Dana Davidson<br />
of Fairgrove, crowned 2010 <strong>Michigan</strong> <strong>Sugar</strong> Queen! Katie<br />
Kundinger of Sebewaing was crowned first runner-up and Chloé<br />
Kas-Mikha of Frankenmuth as second runner-up at the 46th<br />
Annual <strong>Michigan</strong> <strong>Sugar</strong> Festival in Sebewaing on June 18.<br />
Dana is the daughter of David and Diane Davidson of Fairgrove.<br />
Dana recently graduated from Akron-Fairgrove High School<br />
and will be attending the University of <strong>Michigan</strong> majoring in<br />
engineering in the fall.<br />
First runner-up Katie is the daughter of Bryce and Connie<br />
Kundinger. Katie graduated from Unionville-Sebewaing Area<br />
High School in 2008 and attends Delta College where she<br />
is majoring in radiography with a goal to become an x-ray<br />
technician.<br />
Chloé Kas-Mikha, second runner-up, is the daughter of Ann<br />
Kas-Mikha. Chloé, graduated from Frankenmuth High School in<br />
2009. Chloé currently attends the University of <strong>Michigan</strong>-Flint<br />
pursuing a degree in health-science with a goal of becoming<br />
an oncologist.<br />
The Royal Court will be touring the state on the Pioneer<br />
<strong>Sugar</strong> float while making appearances in many local parades.<br />
In July, the young ladies appeared in two national parades;<br />
the National Cherry Festival Parade in Traverse City and the<br />
National Baby Food Festival Parade in Fremont, <strong>Michigan</strong>.<br />
These festivals are attended by thousands of people, and<br />
the Cherry Festival parade is broadcast on local television<br />
in Traverse City.<br />

competition, providing the queen with a $2,000 scholarship<br />
for use at the university of her choice. The first and second<br />
runners-up will each be awarded a $1,000 scholarship.<br />
As the parade schedule winds down for 2010, you may<br />
be able to catch a fall or winter parade. The ladies will be<br />
cozying up together on the float in the Sandusky Lighted<br />
Farm Implement Parade and the Harbor Beach Christmas<br />
