Day 1: LISBON Welcome to Portugal.
Following the airport greeting by your
tour director and local tour guide, you will
enjoy a city tour including St. Anthony of
Padua’s shrine. Light lunch included. In the
evening we enjoy a typical Portuguese meal
accompanied by Fado music, traditional
music, the “soundtrack” of Lisbon. L D
Day 2: LISBON • NAZARE • FATIMA
Depart this morning for Nazare where
we visit the Sanctuary of Alcobaca and
the Cathedral in Batalha. After lunch we
continue to Fatima where in the evening we
join the celebrations of the apparition and a
candlelight procession. B L D
Day 3: FATIMA Join the procession to
the Chapel for Holy Mass. After lunch we
visit the sacred sites of the apparition.
After dinner we return to the Chapel for the
candlelight procession. B L D
Day 4: FATIMA • SALAMANCA • AVILA
Depart for Salamanca. After lunch,
experience the city with a guided tour.
Continue to Avila for the evening. B L D
Day 5: AVILA • MADRID Tour Avila, the
homeland of St. Theresa. Visit the shrine
before departing for Madrid. B L D
Day 6: MADRID • TOLEDO • MADRID
In the morning we depart for Toledo, a
UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the
oldest towns in Europe. Lunch in Toledo. We
return to Madrid to enjoy a tour, including the
Royal Palace. Dinner and overnight. B L D
Day 7: MADRID • ZARAGOZA •
HUESCA Travel to Zaragoza where after
lunch we will tour the city and the Basilica
of Our Lady of Pilar, protectress of Spain.
Continue to Huesca for the evening. B L D
Day 8: HUESCA • LOURDES Depart Spain
for France, crossing the foothills of the
Pyrenees as we continue toward Lourdes.
Leisure time before dinner. After supper we
join in the Candlelight procession. B L D
Day 9: LOURDES Today is dedicated to
your own personal visit of the Sanctuary and
home of St. Bernadette. B L D
Day 10: LOURDES • NICE This morning
we depart Lourdes and continue our journey
towards the Cote d’Azur. Stop for lunch
in Montpellier then continue toward Nice.

Day 11: NICE • MONTECATINI TERME
Morning at leisure. After lunch we continue
along the “Costa Azzurra” and into the
Tuscan hills to Montecatini Terme for the
evening. B L D
Day 12: MONTECATINI • FLORENCE •
ASSISI Early morning departure for
Florence, where our city tour includes
Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Duomo, Piazza
Signoria and Ponte Vecchio. After lunch we
continue to Assisi for the night. B D
Day 13: ASSISI • ROME Following
breakfast we will visit the famous Basilica
of St. Francis. After lunch we will transfer to
Rome. B L D
Day 14: ROME The Forum, Coliseum
and St. Peter’s Basilica are a few of the
attractions included in your city tour. The
rest of the day is at your leisure. B D
Day 15: ROME End of tour. After breakfast,
transfer and homebound. Those who remain
in Italy, have a pleasant stay. B

SARDEGNA
Day 1: CAGLIARI Arrive in Cagliari transfer
to the hotel. Day at leisure. Dinner and
overnight. D
Day 2: CAGLIARI • PULA Morning city
tour of Cagliari visiting both the new and
old. We later depart for Pula to visit the Nora
archaeological site, a post Roman village
later inhabited by the Romans. Time on your
own before our return to Cagliari. Dinner and
accommodation: Hotel Regina Margherita,
Cagliari. D
Day 3: CAGLIARI • BARUMINI • BOSA •
ALGHERO Today we visit the town of
Barumini famous for the Su Nuraxi Nuragic
site and the Casa Zapata Museum. Lunch at
a local restaurant. After lunch we continue
to Bosa, inhabited since prehistoric times
and still conserving the domus de janas and
nurraghe. Continue to Alghero for dinner
and overnight. B L D
Day 4: ALGHERO Full day guided visit
of Alghero including Neptune’s Grotto near
Capocaccia and the Nuraghe di Palamvera
one of the largest and most important
Nuragic sites in Sardegna. Lunch in Alghero.

Day 5: ALGHERO • OLBIA Today we drive
up the coast to Castelsardo a picturesque
medieval hilltop town rich in traditions and
famous for its craft in basket weaving. Free
time for lunch and for visiting the artisans

shops. We will visit other small villages
such as Aggius and Tempio rich in history,
tradition and artisan goods. We arrive early
evening at our final destination – Olbia. B D
Day 6: THE EMERALD COAST &
MADDALENA Our day begins with an
excursion, by boat to the Archipelago of the
Maddalena, a cluster of seven small islands
off the north coast of Sardinia. We will visit
the islands of La Maddalena and Caprera.
We take a short tour of both islands; the
Caprera being the resting place of the Italian
hero Garibaldi. Upon return to the mainland,
we travel along the “Emerald Coast”
(Costa Smeralda) to visit Porto Cervo, the
playground of the rich and famous. B D
Day 7: OLBIA Today we drive south to
visit the town of Orgosolo, famous for its’
150 murals which decorate walls, houses
and the boulders throughout the town.
The first were painted in the 60’s by local
artists depicting the struggles of the local
economy and Italian unification. Nowadays
they show more current international affairs.
We stop for a very authentic Sardinian lunch
at a local farmhouse. Dinner on your own
tonight. Overnight in Olbia. B L
Day 8: End of this wonderful experience.
Transfer to airport for your flight home.
