The Digital Headstart for
Refrigeration Engineers!
Precision and assurance with
the new generation of digital
refrigeration system analyzers
NEW!

1
Precision - the basis for perfect results
Highly accurate pressure and temperature sensors
The use of digital measurement technology with highly accurate
sensors sets new standards in precision and assurance
of measurement.
The accuracy of the analyzers is +/- 0.5% fs + 1 digit.
This provides assurance in day-to-day working, and forms the basis
for the refrigeration engineers’s proof of quality.
Digital display
The digital display guarantees that readout errors are eliminated in
the future. The risk of inaccuracy in reading analog displays is
always present, caused by the so-called parallax error, i.e.the
respective angle of sight has an effect on the result read. Frequent
vibrations can also make reading the display additionally difficult.

2
Indestructible in tough applications
Practice in a multitude of applications show that the instruments
are placed under a great deal of strain during transport and on
site. For this reason, the new digitial refrigeration system
analyzers are put through extreme endurance tests. Among these
are drop tests (the instrument must not only be undamaged, but
also work faultlessly, after a fall from a height of 1.5 m onto a
concrete floor).
1
2
The second skin made of shockabsorbent
material protects from
mechanical damage.
The valves can be stowed,
avoiding damage from shearing
forces.
1
Vibration tests according to DIN/EN 50379 guarantee the
functionality of the construction far beyond the demands of dayto-day
use.
The IP54 protection class documents the resistance towards
splash-water.
2
However, there is no substitute for practice: years of experience
as a pioneer in the field of digital refrigeration system analyzers,
and countless field tests with users, show that tough conditions
are no problem for the new generation of measuring instruments.

3
Highly versatile and user-friendly
30 refrigerants integrated in the instrument -
optimum refrigerant management
The temperature/pressure curves of 30 refrigerants
are stored in the instrument. If other refrigerants are
required, they can be downloaded free of charge
fromm the Testo website and transferred to the
instrument. This makes the refrigeration system
extremely versatile for all systems and requirements.
Versatility with wireless probes
With testo 556 and 560, wireless measurement at
distances of up to 20 m (without obstruction) are
possible, in addition to measurements with classical
probes. A selection: pipe wrap probes, immersion,
penetration and air probes allow the measurement
of different media and objects. Damage to the
probe cable or hindrances in use are thus
eliminated.
Superheating/subcooling
are calculated in real time.
Evacuation with the display of the evaporation
temperature of water
During the evacuation of a system, the integrated
vacuum sensor (testo 560) measures the absolute
pressure and the evaporation temperature of water.
The measured values provide information on
whether the system is being optimally dried, i.e
whether the water vapour is being withdrawn. The
evacuation can be carried out considerably quicker
than has been possible up to now.
Easy to operate
Easily comprehensible, clear and practice-oriented
menu structures allow fast and intuitive operation.
The large backlit display and the sight glass
guarantee good handling even in dark surroundings.
Practical accessories can be easily connected, and
operated via the instrument.

4
Security for data and instrument
Theft protection
The instruments can be secured against
theft with a padlock.
Data protection
A code prevents unauthorized termination
of the measurement.
The data are manipulation-proof and can
therefore be used as proof.

5
Fast and easy documentation
Data store with report printout
The data store in the instruments testo 556 and testo 560 allows
easy and fast documentation of the measurement results. Stored
values can be effortlessly logged with the help of the software
EasyKool. Company logos can be integrated in the reports.
All analyzers additionally have the possibility of printing readings on
the Testo infrared report printer.
Easy refrigerant inventory management according to
the F-gas regulation
The filling or refilling of a system can be documented. The
quantities are stored in the instrument.

6 Software
Software „EasyKool“
Readings can be displayed graphically or in tabular form with the
software EasyKool. A commissioning report can be created if all
actions taken during commissioning are recorded.
The uninterrupted documentation of the data over a defined period
allows the targeted diagnosis of the causes of malfunctions.
The commissioning data as well as all inspection data are available
at all times. This makes all interference with the system - including
unauthorized interference - transparent.
The data are manipulation-proof.
The use of the measurement system, (instrument and software),
thus not only helps to be more accurate and considerably faster, it
also increases customer satisfaction, as all relevant data are
available.
