The Conti-TDS <strong>process</strong> allows better reactivity <strong>and</strong> higher efficiencies for the raw material<br />
result<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> a higher quality end product with no agglomeration. It also m<strong>in</strong>imizes production<br />
time <strong>and</strong> completely avoids partial <strong>process</strong><strong>in</strong>g steps, thereby m<strong>in</strong>imiz<strong>in</strong>g costs.<br />
The Conti-TDS is based on an <strong>in</strong>l<strong>in</strong>e dispers<strong>in</strong>g mach<strong>in</strong>e. Its rotor stator system transports <strong>and</strong><br />
<strong>disperses</strong> liquid with high shear energy result<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> a liquid flow through the dispers<strong>in</strong>g chamber<br />
that builds up a high <strong>in</strong>duction vacuum. This vacuum <strong>in</strong> turn <strong><strong>in</strong>ducts</strong> powder with no<br />
agglomeration, without emitt<strong>in</strong>g dust <strong>in</strong>to the environment or leav<strong>in</strong>g any powder <strong>in</strong> the bottom<br />
of its conta<strong>in</strong>er, thereby elim<strong>in</strong>at<strong>in</strong>g product waste that so often occurs with powder <strong>in</strong>duction<br />
<strong>in</strong>to liquid.<br />
Typical <strong>in</strong>stallation for the Conti-TDS is with<strong>in</strong> a recirculation operation attached to a vessel. It<br />
easily <strong>in</strong>tegrates <strong>in</strong>to exist<strong>in</strong>g <strong>process</strong><strong>in</strong>g systems <strong>and</strong> can be attached to several vessels or<br />
mobilized to work <strong>in</strong> different production areas. Product changes are easy to h<strong>and</strong>le. It can<br />
provide <strong>conti</strong>nuous <strong>process</strong><strong>in</strong>g by work<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> flip-flop, a comb<strong>in</strong>ation of batch <strong>and</strong> storage tank<br />
or as a m<strong>in</strong>/max <strong>process</strong><strong>in</strong>g system. The same mach<strong>in</strong>e can also provide a <strong>conti</strong>nuous <strong>in</strong>l<strong>in</strong>e<br />
<strong>process</strong>. Several powders may be <strong>in</strong>ducted <strong>and</strong> dosed <strong>in</strong> a given sequence; swell<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong><br />
dispers<strong>in</strong>g time can be adjusted. For extremely high viscosity products such as offset pr<strong>in</strong>t<strong>in</strong>g<br />
<strong>in</strong>ks, silicon sealants, knif<strong>in</strong>g filler or glue, the mach<strong>in</strong>e is used <strong>in</strong> comb<strong>in</strong>ation with a volumetric<br />
pump.<br />
