Board of Directors<br />
John Conlin<br />
Non-Executive Director <strong>and</strong> Chairman<br />
John Conlin joined the Board of <strong>Nautical</strong><br />
Petroleum in June 2009. John has over<br />
35 years’ experience in the Oil <strong>and</strong> Gas<br />
industry, including 28 years with Royal<br />
Dutch Shell. He has held senior technical<br />
<strong>and</strong> management positions with Shell in<br />
the UK, Netherl<strong>and</strong>s, Denmark, Oman,<br />
Australia, Russia <strong>and</strong> Saudi Arabia.<br />
Past executive roles include General<br />
Manager, Woodside Petroleum, <strong>and</strong><br />
President, Sakhalin <strong>Energy</strong> Investment<br />
Company. His previous non-executive<br />
Board positions include Hardman<br />
Resources <strong>and</strong> Delphian Technology. John<br />
is currently non-executive chairman of<br />
Aurelian Oil <strong>and</strong> Gas. A petroleum<br />
engineer by profession, John holds a BSc<br />
(Hons.) in Chemical Engineering from<br />
Edinburgh University <strong>and</strong> has completed<br />
the Harvard Business School’s Advanced<br />
Management Programme.<br />
Stephen Jenkins<br />
Chief Executive Officer<br />
As part of a 28 year career in oil <strong>and</strong> gas,<br />
Steve spent the 11 years prior to <strong>Nautical</strong> at<br />
Nimir Petroleum as Business Development<br />
<strong>and</strong> HSE Manager, where he was<br />
responsible for acquisition strategy <strong>and</strong><br />
technical dimensions of strategic planning.<br />
He successfully led multidisciplinary teams<br />
to evaluate opportunities in the Americas,<br />
the Middle East, North Africa, <strong>and</strong> other<br />
OECD countries, which led to the<br />
acquisition <strong>and</strong> subsequent turnaround of<br />
a Venezuelan oil producing field.<br />
Steve also managed a drilling programme<br />
that resulted in the quadrupling of<br />
production in a field on Sakhalin Isl<strong>and</strong> in<br />
the Russian Federation <strong>and</strong> identified <strong>and</strong><br />
secured a farm-out with a major oil<br />
company for a substantial carry on a large<br />
oilfield in Kazakhstan.<br />
Steve has an MSc in Petroleum Geology<br />
<strong>and</strong> DIC from Imperial College of Science<br />
<strong>and</strong> Technology, the University of London,<br />
a BSc Hons in Geology from the Queen’s<br />
University Belfast <strong>and</strong> is a Fellow of the<br />
Geological Society of London. He is<br />
currently Chairman of the Oil & Gas<br />
Independents Association (OGIA), <strong>and</strong> a<br />
director of Oil & Gas UK.<br />
Paul Jennings<br />
Commercial Director<br />
Paul’s experience in the oil <strong>and</strong> gas sector<br />
exceeds 30 years <strong>and</strong> spans the roles of<br />
accountant, economist <strong>and</strong> commercial<br />
<strong>and</strong> business development director.<br />
Paul worked with BP for 17 years, with<br />
responsibility for projects<br />
in China, Russia, Mongolia, Mozambique<br />
<strong>and</strong> West Africa. After leaving BP Paul<br />
established exploration <strong>and</strong> production<br />
companies in both Russia <strong>and</strong> Nigeria,<br />
before jointly founding <strong>Nautical</strong> Petroleum<br />
with Steve Jenkins
