Thursday February 19th<br />

Hotel Arrival<br />

Check in at the hotel front desk. You will need your<br />

Passport. After checking in, KNT, the official agents for<br />

<strong>Tokyo</strong> marathon will have a ‘tour kit’ ready for you at the<br />

hotel including a 1 day metro card and vouchers for any<br />

additional tours that you’ve booked.<br />

Friday 20th<br />

February<br />

Today includes a half day sight seeing tour of <strong>Tokyo</strong><br />

finishing at the <strong>Tokyo</strong> Big Sight where you’ll be able to<br />

pick up your race number and race pack. You’ll need to<br />

bring your Passport and Number Card Pick Up with<br />

you as we will not be returning to the hotel prior to<br />

going to <strong>Tokyo</strong> Big Sight Registration.<br />

After registration, you’ll need to make your own way<br />

back to the hotel, we recommend using the metro.<br />

Half Day Sight Seeing<br />

Tour of <strong>Tokyo</strong><br />

After breakfast at the hotel, meet Mike, Yolanda and your<br />

English speaking tour guide in the hotel lobby at 8:15am.<br />

We will then travel by coach to four different tourist sites<br />

including:<br />

● Meiji Jingu Shrine<br />

● Imperial Palace East Gardens<br />

● Asakusa Kannon Temple<br />

● Nakamise Shopping Street<br />

Meiji Jingu Shrine - is a Shinto shrine. This shrine is<br />

dedicated to the divine souls of Emperor Meiji and his<br />

consort Empress Shoken.<br />

The Imperial Palace East Gardens - are a part of the inner<br />

palace area and are open to the public. They are the<br />

former site of Edo Castle's innermost circles of defense,<br />

the honmaru ("main circle") and ninomaru ("secondary<br />

circle").<br />

Asakusa Kannon Temple - is an ancient Buddhist temple<br />

located in Asakusa, it is <strong>Tokyo</strong>'s oldest temple and one<br />

of its most significant.<br />

Nakamise Shopping Street - is a lovely street market and<br />

is ideal for buying gifts to take back home
