Erica Dour – Boston College Dive Coach 2008-2012

An interesting note on Erica is that prior to attending and diving at Towson University, she dove and swam at Ursuline
Academy in Dedham, Massachusetts. While at Ursuline, Erica was a teammate and friend of Coach Groden's oldest
daughter, Susan.
Erica currently resides in Brighton, and works at Building Excellent Schools, a non-profit organization in downtown
Boston. At Building Excellent Schools, Erica works with individuals who are committed to opening schools in underserved
communities to help students reach and succeed in elementary school, middle school, high school, in college and
beyond. Her commitment to urban education continues on the collegiate level with the academic success BC divers
have shown. There have been 15 All-ACC Academic Honor Roll recognitions and 18 Athletic Director's Awards for
Academic Achievement.
During her time away from the pool, Erica enjoys running, rock-climbing, and skiing. Erica’s coaching role models consist
of NCAA Coach John Wooden of UCLA Basketball, and her first diving coach, Joe Chirico.
