SOCIAL NEWS Good to see new members and visitors at last months Club Night. There was plenty of discussion about changes to members cars and events for the coming year with plenty of events happening in 2009. John Finch went home a very “happy chappie” with $600 dollars in his pocket from the “lucky number” draw….. Next Club night is Friday 13th March, 2009, 7.30 start at Cobby Road Birmingham Gardens Club rooms. Lucky Number draw will start at $100 M A R C H 2 0 0 9 warm and cozy during the evening, very enjoyable for all who attended. SPA DIP NATTER NIGHT Saturday 21st March 2009 The next Natter Night will be held at Judith and Doug Rae’s home at 20 Barraba Street Whitebridge commencing at 6.30 pm: Phone contact, if you need directions, 49447356 Bring your usual barbeque and desert delights plus light refreshments. Final arrangements for the MG National Event to be held at Geelong will be discussed during the evening. Reminder: April club night will be held on Friday 3rd April one week early due to MG Nat Meet A thank you to Madelon and Bernard Corbett for their hospitality on a very wet and cold Natter Night. Due to inclement whether we all gathered in the garage, this is not just an ordinary 1 or 2 car garage but you could park 5 cars, in a row behind each other and select any car and drive out without having to move the rest and still have space left to use for a workshop. Steve Tapner and Bernard had their Rally cars on display as well as Bernard’s BMW M coupe. There was also a gallery of touring sedan cars and photo gallery. The garage was larger than John Collins workshop an amazing place and we kept For those members who would like a “SPA DIP” in Judith and Doug’s newly installed Spa bring your “Cozzies”. Should be an interesting night. If you would like to hold a “Natter Night” at your home please let me know, you only need to provide your own food and refreshements as members provide their own food and drinks for the night. Enjoyed the day at “Top Gear” held at the Acer Arena, Sydney. Overall it was a very spectacular event and well worth seeing.
