ABOUT THE PROGRAMS...
IMPACT II ADAPTER GRANTS
IMPACT II is an investment in success, bringing out the
entrepreneur in our teachers by encouraging them to network
and share their classroom tested ideas that motivate students
to learn.
IMPACT II links all 20,000+ Miami-Dade teachers through an
annual teacher conference, an idea catalog and dissemination
and adapter grants. Listed on pages 2-3 of this book are the
2006-2007 Adapter Grants that allow teachers to adapt and
franchise these winning ideas for their own classrooms.
TEACHER MINI-GRANTS
When a Miami-Dade County teacher wants to try something
new in the classroom and needs a few hundred dollars to
make that dream a reality, the Teacher Mini-Grants program
is where they can find an eager audience and an open
checkbook.
For 21 years, the Teacher Mini-Grants program has
allowed business and civic organizations to invest directly
into the classroom. These small cash grants have turned
hundreds of ordinary classrooms into real life learning
experiences for many students.
The Education Fund salutes the hard work and creativity of
the winners of the 2006-2007 Teacher Mini-Grants.
