7:00 pm: Sacramento Mile Returns! It<br />

has been over a decade since Sacramento<br />

race fans have witnessed the non-stop<br />

action packed racing of AMA Pro Flat<br />

Track. Featuring the nation’s top twowheeled<br />

flat track riders, fans will be<br />

treated to an unmatched spectacle as<br />

riders fly down the Sacramento Mile, pitch<br />

their bikes sideways and slide through the<br />

turns. There is no such thing as pacing in<br />

this type of racing.it is all or nothing.with<br />

only one rider emerging as the winner.<br />

Not only will this race pit rider against<br />

rider, but it will also pit machine against<br />

machine. Harley Davidson, Honda,<br />

Aprilia, BMW, Buell, Ducati, Kawasaki,<br />

KTM, Suzuki,Triumph and Yamaha all<br />

offer AMA approved models.<br />

Gates open at 1:30 pm. Riders will<br />

run practice in the afternoon with<br />

open ceremonies taking place at 6:30<br />

pm. Racing begins at 7:00 pm. A<br />

special autograph session will be held<br />

immediately following the last practice.<br />

Fans can meet their favorite riders, take<br />

pictures and get autographs.<br />

Multi-day event: Giro D’California VII<br />

“The Giro d’California is a touring<br />

and regularity event for 1957 and older<br />

Italian motorcycles up to 175cc. It’s a<br />

retrospective tribute to the Giro d’Italia<br />

Motociclistico (a.k.a. Motogiro), Italy’s<br />

premier long distance motorcycle road<br />

race of the 1950’s.<br />

“The Giro d’California celebrates the<br />

machines and riders from the golden era<br />

of the Motogiro, 1953-57. During this<br />

period the Motogiro was organized and<br />

promoted by the Italian sports newspaper<br />

Stadio. During the Stadio years over 50<br />

Italian motorcycle manufacturers fielded<br />

“protagonisti” in the Motogiro.” Location<br />
