Rare Breed Show & Sale.<br />
Notes for Purchasers<br />
Visitors to the market must not enter or leave the animal area<br />
unless they are free from visible signs of contamination.<br />
Robust footwear, capable of being cleansed and disinfected must<br />
be worn in the animal areas.<br />
All vehicles MUST be disinfected at the lorry wash before you load<br />
any stock.<br />
Sheep & Pig purchasers must provide the holding number where<br />
the stock is going to.<br />
Trading Standards will issue pig licences to all purchasers on the<br />
day of the sale which must be obtained before the stock is loaded<br />
on to your vehicle.<br />
The auctioneers will issue Sheep Movement documents to all purchasers<br />
on the day of the sale which must be obtained before the<br />
stock is loaded on to your vehicle.<br />
Under the current DEFRA movement regulations Bulls & Rams purchased<br />
for breeding may be moved to an approved isolation area<br />
on a holding without triggering the 6 day standstill rule on the remainder<br />
of the holding. Details of approved isolation areas can be<br />
obtained from your local DEFRA State Veterinary Service office.<br />
However approval must be given prior to the bulls or rams arriving<br />
on that holding. Purchasers must also send a declaration to their<br />
local Authority to say that the animals are for breeding.<br />
All other cattle, sheep, pigs & goats purchased at the sale will trigger<br />
the 6 day standstill on the holding they are moved to.<br />
ALL STOCK MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE MARKET PREMESIS BY<br />
7:00 p.m. ON SATURDAY 7 th OCTOBER.<br />
