Does your youth pose any problems when meeting with<br />
clients or investors?<br />
Our entire staff is under 30 years old, and sometimes this surprises<br />
clients. To build confidence, we invest a great deal of resources<br />
and training to make sure everyone in the company can easily talk in<br />
depth about our products and our industry. Most clients end up more<br />
impressed by knowledge than weary of our age.<br />
How many hours a day do you put in?<br />
In the early days, 24 hours seemed to be pretty average. Even my<br />
sleep was scattered with dreams and nightmares of the workdays to<br />
come.<br />
Today, it’s a little less. As we’ve grown, we’ve been fortunate to hire<br />
a team of great people, which has lessened our personal workload a<br />
little. Today, a 10-12 hour day is pretty common.<br />
It’s not easy, but I make time to take care of myself: mentally, physically,<br />
and emotionally. Some days are harder than others, but even<br />
during the busiest days, I find an hour to decompress and clear my<br />
mind, which ultimately allows me to be in a much better teammate<br />
and leader.<br />
Will you start another company?<br />
Yes. This is my second startup company. I have big aspirations for<br />
Lemonlight but regardless of what happens, I’m confident I’ll continue<br />
my journey as an entrepreneur long into the future.
