They are always beside you,
And help you to be strong.

Grandparents.

brand new,
They’ve always been totally
smitten with you.

happy.
You smile when
you’re glad.

I is for invisible,
When in camouflage.
You’re tough to be seen,
In your forest collage.

It’s the look on our faces,
When we visit with people
Who live in far places!

kitchen,
Your hands
won’t stay clean.
It’s fun when
your fingers
Get stuff in
between!

With Grandpa, we play

Q is for quiet,
When using the phone.
It’s the only way to hear a dial tone.

They make a nice seat.
And Papa can push you
If you sit on your feet.

is for snow,
You can build your own Olaf!
Just make sure when he’s built,
His head doesn’t roll off!

is for teeth,
We make sure to brush.
It’s a rule of the bathroom,
Like wash hands and flush.

is for upend.
And for
upside-down.
Dad makes you laugh
When he acts
like a clown!

is for vrooom!
It’s how we go fast.
But safety comes first,
Even if we get passed.

is for wafers,
They’re from your grandmother.
I’ll bet if you asked,
She would give you another!

is in fix
When baby
has splatter,
Fixing her up
Is no laughing
matter!

is for you,
As in, “you should
move your toe!”
You never know
where that
new driver
will go!

is for zoo,
You looked through the fence.
Being nice to the animals
Just makes good sense.
