GRAVITY and EXTREME MAGNETISMS SMALL EXPLORER GEMS GEMS is a NASA mission that will measure the X-<strong>ray</strong> linear polarization from selected sources in an energy range between 2-10 keV. The flight is scheduled to be in 2014. Selected by NASA on June 2009 as the 13 th of small explorer. The GEMS mission hosts deployable telescopes (Suzaku Mirrors) to arrive at a focal length of 4.5 m.
