Our Lady of Grace Montessori School is a nurturing environment within a
Catholic/Christian atmosphere. By preparing the environment and practicing Dr. Maria
Montessori's theories of self-direction and auto education, teachers encourage children to
develop a spirit of independence, a sense of curiosity, and an intrinsic satisfaction with
learning. Parents are recognized as the child's first educators and as an integral part of the
education process. Through observation, parent education, and interaction with teachers,
they are led to discover and apply Montessori philosophy.
