ASSOCIATION OF RECORDS MANAGERS AND ADMINISTRATORS<br />
TERRA NOVA - ST. JOHN’S<br />
BY-LAWS<br />
ARTICLE I - NAME<br />
This association shall be known as the ASSOCIATION OF RECORDS MANAGERS AND<br />
ADMINISTRATORS - TERRA NOVA - ST. JOHN’S CHAPTER.<br />
ARTICLE II - OBJECTIVES<br />
The objectives of this non-profit, educational organization are:<br />
1. To promote <strong>and</strong> advance the improvement of records <strong>and</strong> information management<br />
<strong>and</strong> related fields through study education <strong>and</strong> research.<br />
2. To advance professional knowledge <strong>and</strong> techniques by sharing <strong>and</strong> exchanging<br />
experiences <strong>and</strong> information related to the field of records <strong>and</strong> information<br />
management.<br />
3. To develop <strong>and</strong> advance st<strong>and</strong>ards or professional competence in the field of<br />
records <strong>and</strong> information management.<br />
Section 1 - Classes of Membership<br />
ARTICLE III - MEMBERSHIP<br />
Each individual must be a member in good st<strong>and</strong>ing of the Association of Records<br />
Managers <strong>and</strong> Administrators.<br />
A. Regular <strong>Chapter</strong> Membership<br />
Every individual who has an interest in the field of records <strong>and</strong> information management <strong>and</strong><br />
pays the appropriate <strong>Chapter</strong> dues.<br />
B. Honorary Membership<br />
<strong>Chapter</strong> Membership<br />
Qualification for this type of membership are the same as for regular chapter membership<br />
except that the individuals contribution to the profession are of a nature to warrant special<br />
<strong>and</strong> unique consideration. Recommendation for Honorary <strong>Chapter</strong> Membership will be<br />
submitted with proper documentation to the <strong>Chapter</strong>’s Board of Directors. Upon acceptance,<br />
the individual will be listed on the <strong>Chapter</strong> rolls as an Honorary member. Persons holding<br />
this class of membership shall not be required to pay annual <strong>Chapter</strong> dues <strong>and</strong> shall not be<br />
eligible to hold an elective office. Honorary members shall be eligible to vote in <strong>Chapter</strong><br />
elections.<br />
