Argumentative Essay Topics http://www.buzzle.com/articles/argumentative-essay-topics.html
The first step after selecting an argumentative essay is to do research work. This is extremely
crucial, because a good argumentative essay is that which includes all the facts and details making
the argument reliable and logical. One cannot write a persuasive essay by using one's imagination.
Each and every opinion has to be supported by facts. You can read books, magazines and articles
on the Internet about the topic to gather information. Make very sure that you do no indulge in fictional
writing at all. Also a mistake that is very commonly made by writers is that they do research only on
those writings that support their opinion. However, this would not help in writing a successful essay.
Every writer should be well aware of the opposite views, which will help in chalking out convincing
statements to support one's opinion. Such an approach also helps in answering questions of those
people who have a different opinion than yours.
Once you finish your research work, it is time to put your opinions on paper. The format of the
argumentative essay is the same as the other essay forms. It should start with a thesis statement,
followed by an introduction, the main body and conclusion. In the introduction, talk about the topic and
your point of view. The main body of the essay should be used to state all your arguments. Here, the
research you have done will prove helpful as examples. Conclude the essay by re-emphasizing on
your point of view.
An argumentative essay is not very difficult to write as it seems to be. All you need is to choose an
appropriate title from the argumentative essay topics. But also remember that one cannot write on a
topic just because one believes strongly on the point. Write on a topic only if you can explain your
perspective logically to the readers. Good researching and writing skills would definitely help in making
an argumentative essay truly effective.
