For Ocean City...
FROM almost the very beginning of Ocean City,
this newspaper has been right on the job faithfully
sei-ving every interest of this city. Never
for even a brief moment, during that long period of
time has it faltered or failed in its steadfast purpose
to keep the faith.
Papers come and go, but the SENTINEL stood
the test of time and survives the field. False starts .
have been made in the local journalistic field by
weeklies and semi-weeklies. All of them have fallen
)>y the wayside and are but memories.
The Growth Has Been Remarkable
Started as a small four page paper, printed
entirely by hand, this paper has had a steady growth
through the years, keeping pace with the remarkable
growth of Ocean City. The SENTINEL-LEDGER
is now printed and published in a modern plant,
incorporating the very latest in typesetting and
printing equipment. It is the only exclusive newspaper
printing plant in Cape May County and the
only newspaper printing plant in Ocean City. During
the summer months, this company prints and
publishes the OCEAN CITY DAILY JOURNAL in
addition to the weekly SENTINEI^LEDGER.
When the time comes for a semi-weekly or daily all
year round in Ocean City, this organization is ready.

IN NEWS—Every item of interest to Ocean City residents and summer visitors is
reported, written and edited exclusively for this one paper. We maintain a competent
news staff familiar, through long and intimate contact, with the people and
interests of Ocean City.
IN CIRCULATION—Nearly everyone in Ocean City and the regular summer visitors read
the SENTINEL-LEDGER. The circulation is over DOUBLE that of any paper published
in this resort
IN ADVERTISING—Tbe largest volume of paid advertising, 80% of which is exclusive, at
the lowest PER THOUSAND CIRCULATION rates, which accounts for the fact
that FOUR TIMES the number of PAID ADVERTISEMENTS appear in the SEN-
TINEL-LEDGER as messages to the readers of this paper—the direct result of large
circulation and fair business methods.
