Dutch Wedding Traditions<br />
Wish Tree<br />
This typical Dutch tradition is display on the<br />
reception , so the guests can write their special<br />
wishes on the papers leaves, and then the bride and<br />
groom can read peacefully. Nice to remember the<br />
most of the people, who assist to your wedding.<br />
Reception Food<br />
Two traditional items served at a wedding, are<br />
sweetmeat called “bridal sugar” and “bride tears”,<br />
bridal sugar consist of five sweets wrapped in tulle.<br />
Dutch customs uses the five number representing<br />
the five wishes of love, happiness, loyalty, prosperity<br />
and virility. Bridal tears is a small bottle of spiced<br />
wine, that contains real gold leaves that represents<br />
tears.
