5. "Dating relationship" means a courtship or engagement relationship. For purposes of this act, a<br />
casual acquaintance or ordinary fraternization between persons in a business or social context shall not<br />
constitute a dating relationship;<br />

As used in ORS 107.700 to 107.735:<br />
(1) “Abuse” means the occurrence of one or more of the following acts between family or household<br />
members:<br />
(a) Attempting to cause or intentionally, knowingly or recklessly causing bodily injury.<br />
(b) Intentionally, knowingly or recklessly placing another in fear of imminent bodily injury.<br />
(c) Causing another to engage in involuntary sexual relations by force or threat of force.<br />
(3) "Family or household members" means any of the following:<br />
(a) Spouses.<br />
(b) Former spouses.<br />
(c) Adult persons related by blood, marriage or adoption.<br />
(d) Persons who are cohabiting or who have cohabited with each other.<br />
(e) Persons who have been involved in a sexually intimate relationship with each other within two years<br />
immediately preceding the filing by one of them of a petition under ORS 107.710.<br />
(f) Unmarried parents of a child.<br />
Pennsylvania 23 PA. CONS. STAT. ANN. § 6102(a)(1)-(5) (2012).<br />
(a) General rule. --The following words and phrases when used in this chapter shall have the meanings<br />
given to them in this section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:<br />
"Abuse." --The occurrence of one or more of the following acts between family or household members,<br />
sexual or intimate partners or persons who share biological parenthood:<br />
(1) Attempting to cause or intentionally, knowingly or recklessly causing bodily injury, serious bodily<br />
injury, rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, statutory sexual assault, aggravated<br />
indecent assault, indecent assault or incest with or without a deadly weapon.<br />
(2) Placing another in reasonable fear of imminent serious bodily injury.<br />
(3) The infliction of false imprisonment pursuant to 18 Pa.C.S. § 2903 (relating to false imprisonment).<br />
(4) Physically or sexually abusing minor children, including such terms as defined in Chapter 63<br />
(relating to child protective services).<br />
