WHEREAS, for the next ten years, Henry Wlodyga worked as an engineer on projects such as the
construction of the Kennedy, Dan Ryan, and Stevenson Expressways, the last of which required the “demucking”
of the IM Canal; and
WHEREAS, when he left the Highway Department on January 31, 1971, Henry Wlodyga had worked 10
years without missing a day of work; and
WHEREAS, Henry Wlodyga then joined the Board of Review, then the Board of Appeals, in the position
of Secretary to the Board; and
WHEREAS, Henry Wlodyga served in that capacity for 35 years and worked under 11 Members and
Commissioners of the Board; and
WHEREAS, Henry Wlodyga has also been active in the Moose Fraternal Organization, and has
advocated for the Moose and other fraternal organizations with government; and
WHEREAS, upon his retirement, Cook County owes a debt of gratitude to Henry Wlodyga for his
successful and dedicated public service and leadership.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners of Cook County does
hereby congratulate Henry Wlodyga on his retirement and wishes him happiness, good health, and
success in his future endeavors; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this Resolution be tendered to Henry Wlodyga
as a symbol of this auspicious occasion and let it also be spread upon the official proceedings of this
Honorable Body.

RESOLUTION
HONORING TERRY R. PARKE
WHEREAS, Representative Terry R. Parke of Hoffman Estates has diligently served the constituents of
his legislative district; and
WHEREAS, Representative Parke’s district consisted of the far Northwest suburbs, including Bartlett,
Elgin, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates and Streamwood; and
WHEREAS, Terry Parke was first elected as State Representative in 1984, and from then on dedicated
himself to serving his district; and
