COMIC RELIEF 2015
This year’s Comic Relief was a great success. Staff and students were encouraged to dress up as
their favourite characters, wear something red or Comic Relief merchandise in return for £1. As
you can see the staff fully entered into this with the two princesses from Frozen causing quite a
stir. Princess Anna also sang a few bars of “For the first time and forever” in the lunch hall so we
were fully entertained.
Throughout the week the Head and Deputy Head boys and girls delivered assemblies about a
young African girl whose parents had died and who, with the help of Comic Relief funding, was
able to go to school while her siblings were being looked after. They did an outstanding job!
In total the school collected £1400 and as this year the government is match funding schools’
efforts, our contribution is £2,800. Well done to everyone who took part and entered into the spirit
of the event.
